What Happened?

04 May 1947: A British military truck was ambushed by a road mine placed by either Irgun or Lehi militants. Five British soldiers were injured in the explosion. The truck was travelling on the Haifa-Acre road, a kilometre from Kiriat Haim.

This attack happened during the same time as the Acre Prison raid, indicating that Zionist militants had mined the civilian roads before the attack.
