What Happened?

12 March 1947: Israeli militants opened fire at a British military freight truck near the central town of Ma’abarot, on the Tel Aviv-Haifa road. The attack yielded no casualties.

This attack coincided with the deadly attack on the British Army’s Pay Corps at the Syrian Orphanage in Al-Quds (Jerusalem). Multiple smaller attacks happened on this day.
