What Happened?

9 March 1947: A lorry filled with Butagas cylinders exploded outside the Jaffa Police HQ after the Irgun militants shot small arms fire at it. The casualties are unknown, except for the extensive damage to the surrounding areas.

This bombing was one of the three simultaneous major attacks by Irgun on 9 March 1947. The others were the Citrus House bombing.
