What Happened?
07 June 2013: A U.S. drone strike destroyed the locally known Mattaki Markaz in the Shui Khel Mandi area of Shawal Tehsil. The time of this attack is unknown but it started at night.
Another possible location of this attack is the Mangroati village. While the victims of this attack were previously unknown, the London-based TBIJ was given a list of possible casualties from this attack by Pakistan’s military intelligence.
The casualties included: Hamat, Haneef, Arbab, Farhad, Zubair, Zahidullah, Abdullah Noor, Umar Sadeeq, Nazeerullah, Omer Nawaz,Tariq, Darwesh, Janab
It is notable that this U.S. drone strike occurred after the new Prime Minister Nawaf Sharif’s inaugural address calling for an end to U.S. drone strikes.
