What Happened?
23 January 2009: A U.S. drone strike targeted a house in the Ganki Khel area of Wana in South Waziristan Agency. The CIA alleged that it had killed militants in this attack.
The house reportedly belonged to a civilian named Malik Gulistan Khan. Khan, a civilian, was killed along with three sons (including a three-year old), and a nephew. The victim family and eyewitnesses denied they had a connection with any militant network.
