What Happened?
26 April 2017: A U.S. drone strike destroyed a house in the Zuwai area of Datta Khel Tehsil. The timing of this attack is unknown. Pakistani officials denied having knowledge of this attack, and called it a probable U.S. drone attack.
A spokesperson for the Pakistan Taliban, Malik Wahidullah, reported that three civilians and seven militants were killed in this attack. While there has not been any independent inquiry to confirm these figures, it is unknown if whether the Taliban’s civilian count included women and children.
