What Happened?
19 April 2009: A U.S. drone attack targeted a house in the Zari Noor area of Wana in South Waziristan Agency. The CIA alleged that an explosive-laden truck was destroyed, creating a huge secondary explosion, and that no casualties were recorded.
The house allegedly belonged to Dayam Khan and Waken Khan. A local report from the Nation at that time notes that at least 8 people, including women and children were killed. There is no further confirmation on their names and status.
This is one of the least documented U.S. drone attacks in Pakistan that requires independent verification.
