What Happened?
11 May 2010: A U.S. drone strike targeted the Surgomai or Gurwak village in Datta Khel Tehsil. It was alleged that the CIA had targeted a suspected militant hideout that belonged to a militant commander Moulvi Sadiq Noor.
Data published by FATA officials indicate that 8 local people were killed in this attack. No independent inquiry has been made to determine the nature and quantity of casualties from this drone strike.
