What Happened?
28 December 2010: A U.S. drone strike fired more than 6 missiles on a convoy of two cars in the Stanai Algad / Sherkhel area of Ghulam Khan Tehsil. This attack happened at around 1628 hours. The struck targets were apparently the victims of two earlier drone strikes on the same building.
The destroyed cars were transporting the dead and injured recovered from the rubble. It was alleged that all the casualties were ‘suspected militants’, however it has commonly been observed that civilian rescuers are killed in double-tap strikes. No independent inquiry has ever been made to determine the nature of the casualties.
This is the last drone strike on a chain of three on this day.
