Sanzali (N. Waziristan) Drone Attack IV – May 2011

What Happened?
12 May 2011: A U.S. drone strike targeted a car in the Sanzali area of Datta Khel Tehsil. Media reports allege that up to 8 suspected militants were killed in this attack. It is also reported that a nearby house was also killed, however any possible casualties are not reported.
A documented published years later by FATA Secretariat in Peshawar alleged that 5 people were killed, although only 2 of them were ‘Punjabi militants’. This creates a substantial risk of undocumented civilian deaths.
