What Happened?
26 September 2010: A U.S. drone strike targeted a car in the Dand Killi area of Datta Khel Tehsil. This attack happened at around 1820 hours. News sources report that the identities of the victims could not be verified, raising the possibility of civilian casualties.
This was the second in a series of three U.S. drone strikes in North Waziristan on this day. The identities of these casualties has never been known, raising the concern of so-called ‘signature strikes’ where drone strikes were conducted on mere visual assumptions instead of ground intelligence.
