What Happened?
07 October 2014: A U.S. drone strike targeted either a meeting of people in the mountains, or destroyed a house, in the Kundsar area of Datta Khel. This attack started at around 1830 hours.
Xinhua reported that a house was destroyed, killing up to four people. Reuters instead reported that a ‘gathering of militants on a mountain’ was targeted. AFP reported eight Uzbek casualties.
No other credible information is present about this attack. No independent inquiry was ever made to learn of the victims and their civilian or militant status.
