What Happened?

26 June 2012: A U.S. drone strike destroyed a building, known locally as ‘Rehmani Markaz’ in Kund Ghar village, in the Dre Nishtar area of Shawal Tehsil. The attack began at around 2145 and reportedly used two missiles. Media reports indicate that up to 7 ‘suspected militants’ were killed.

Data published years later by FATA officials indicate that up to 9 people were killed. No other information is available about the casualties. No independent inquiry has ever been conducted to learn of their identities or militant status.
