What Happened?
23 August 2010: A U.S. drone attack destroyed a house that was occupied by ‘suspected militants’ in the Darga Mandi area of Miranshah. There are obscure media reports of at least 7 people having been killed and more than a dozen injured. However, no independent inquiry was ever made to determine if whether the casualties were militants or civilians.
Minutes earlier to this attack, another U.S. drone missile had destroyed a family home in the nearby area of Danda Darpa Khel, killing an entire family and orphaning three young children.
