What Happened?

13 November 2010: A U.S. drone strike destroyed a car in the Ahmad Khel Hamzoni area of Miranshah Tehsil. This attack happened near the Tochi River at around 1555 hours. A report from Geo TV, a local media house, cited an on-the-ground correspondent who said the dead looked to be ordinary citizens and not militants’.

Data published years later by FATA officials alleged that the dead were militants from the Mehsud tribe, but also that this allegation was ‘unconfirmed’. There is a high likelihood that the casualties were all civilians, but their name and identities have never been learned.
