What Happened?
31 March 2010: A U.S. drone strike targeted a house in the Tappi area of North Waziristan. The CIA alleged that it had targeted a compound of suspected militants. Media reports, including from the local journalist Noor Behram, confirm that the victims were the family of a local man named Zamir Gul, all of whom were killed including a 14-year-old boy.
Zamir Gul survived the attack and is subsequently reported by locals to have become a silent loner, refusing to interact with anyone.
