What Happened?

2 November 2018: An unknown assailant attacked Moulana Sami Ul Haq, chancellor of Darul Uloom Haqqania, at his residence in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. He was declared dead upon arrival at a hospital, attributed to severe blood loss from knife stabs.

To date (Aug 2025), no investigation has identified any individual or group as responsible.
