What Happened?
18 June 2014: A U.S. drone strike targeted multiple houses and cars in the Darga Mandi area of Miranshah. This attack reportedly occurred at around 0440 hours. Media reports indicate that these were two strikes – the first wave had four missiles, the second had two.
At least eight people were reportedly killed. Media reports indicate that the identities of the victims could not be confirmed. Security officials remark that they were unaware of if whether the victims were Haqqani Network fighters, noting that these targets could not have been senior commanders, as they had all either been killed or fled into Afghanistan.
Given the ambiguity surrounding the casualties, this drone attack is considered undocumented.
