What Happened?
26 November 2014: A U.S. drone strike destroyed a house and possibly a car in the Marga area of Shawal Tehsil. It is possible this area is also locally called ‘Garga’ or ‘Sra Khwaray’. Media reports indicate that up to 9 people were killed, with the Express Tribune citing a local security official that foreigners and Haqqani fighters were among the dead.
Reuters interestingly cites a ‘local militant’ who claims that those killed in the attack were ‘Pakistani militants’. No other independently verified information is available about this drone attack, leaving it undocumented.
