What Happened?
23 May 2011: A U.S. drone strike destroyed a ‘flying coach’ van on the Machi Khel road in Mirali Tehsil. This strike reportedly occurred at around 1650 hours. Some media reports call the dead to be ‘suspected militants’ while others simply call the dead ‘foreigners’.
Data published years later by FATA officials alleges that 7 Uzbek were killed in this attack. However, no comment is present on their militant nature, indicating possible civilian deaths.
