What Happened?

23 June 2009: A U.S. missile drone struck a bunker in the Bakh Mary Langara area of the South Waziristan Agency. Taliban sources confirmed that the attack killed their local commander, Khog Wali. 5 other militants were killed in this attack, and 7 were injured.

Due to the confirmation by Taliban sources, this attack is considered documented.

The corpses of the people killed in this attack were targeted again hours later at their funeral, leading to a massacre with hundreds of civilian casualties.
