What Happened?
16 March 2011: A U.S. drone strike destroyed either a house or a car in the Ambar Shaga area of Datta Khel Tehsil. This attack reportedly occurred at around 0835 hours. Media reporting on this drone attack is scarce and contradictory, with sources claiming between 3-5 deaths.
Data published by FATA officials years later alleges that three people were killed, two of whom were reported as ‘foreigners’. No independent inquiry has ever taken place to identify the name and nature of the casualties.
