What Happened?

17 December 2009: A U.S. drone strike targeted the village of Ambar Shaga in North Waziristan Agency, destroying at least two homes and two cars. The CIA alleged the death of multiple Al Qaeda and Haqqani Network operatives.

Later investigations revealed that at least 6 of the dead were civilians, while suggesting that the remainder of the death toll were indeed militants. As such, this drone attack is considered partially documented.
