What Happened?
01 January 2009: A U.S. drone strike targeted the Laman village Sirki Khel area of South Waziristan Agency. The nature of the target is unknown, but one media report from that time alleges that five ‘suspected militants’ were killed.
This is one of the least documented U.S. drone attacks in the region. It is unknown if whether those killed were civilians or militants.
