Date: 02/03/2017

Location: Kurram Agency, FATA, Pakistan

Perpetrators: United States

Victims: 2 Killed

What Happened?

2 March 2017: A missile fired from a US drone targeted a motorcycle in the Sara Khwa area of Lower Kurram (Pakistan’s federally administered tribal areas). The attack is reported to have killed at least 2 people, a ‘Qari Abdullah Subari’ and ‘Shakir’.

Western intelligence claims that both men belonged to the Afghan Taliban.

However, there is no independent verification of the identities of those killed. Neither official records nor local testimony confirm who the casualties were, or whether they had any militant affiliations.
