What Happened?
21 August 2010: A U.S. drone strike destroyed two cars in the Qutab Khel area of Miranshah. While it was reported that ‘suspected militants’ had been targeted in this attack, testimony gathered by a local news agency claims that all the dead were civilians.
“The car was parked near the house of Akbar Din, a tribesman, in Qutab Khel area of North Waziristan. Sources said those killed and injured were local people. They said that a suspected car had passed through the area before the attack.” – Dawn, 22 August 2010.
