New Adda Bazar (N. Waziristan) Drone Attack – Mar 2010
Date: 10/03/2010
Location: North Waziristan Agency, FATA, Pakistan
Perpetrators: United States
Victims: 14 Killed, 12 Injured
What Happened?
10 March 2010: A U.S. drone struck a combined house and a car in the New Adda Bazar area of North Waziristan. The CIA alleged that it had targeted militants of the Hafiz Gul Bahadur group, however there has never been an independent inquiry on the nature of the casualties.
A double-tap strike was performed on rescuers who came to dig through the rubble, likely adding to the civilian casualties from this attack. Eyewitnesses report abandoning the rescue efforts due to fear of more drone attacks.
