What Happened?
09 January 2016: A U.S. drone strike destroyed a house in the Mangrotai area of Shawal Tehsil. The timing of this attack is unknown. Media reports alleged that a Pakistan Taliban commander Maulana Noor Saeed was killed in this attack, along with Uzbek militants.
No other independently verified information is available about this drone attack. This is the only known U.S. drone attack in North Waziristan for 2016.
