What Happened?
09 September 2010: A U.S. drone strike destroyed a house in the Machis area of North Waziristan. This attack happened at around 0410 hours. Media reports allege that the strike had targeted a suspected militant hideout. It was reported that local people used the mosque loudspeakers to ask for help with the rescue.
A document released by FATA officials years later reports that the casualties were Uzbek, with no indication that they were militants.
