What Happened?
27 March 2010: A U.S. drone strike targeted two houses in the Hurmaz area of Mirali in North Waziristan. While the CIA alleged that it had targeted suspected militants, both local and international media cast doubt on the ‘suspected militant’ status of the casualties.
This drone strike has not been logged by FATA officials in their record of known U.S. drone strikes in the tribal areas. No independent inquiry was ever made to determine the identity of the casualties, leaving this attack undocumented.
