What Happened?
08 February 2018: A U.S. drone strike destroyed a house in the Gurwek area of Shawal Tehsil. The timing of this attack is unknown. Media reports indicate that up to 11 ‘militants’ were killed, however there was no independent investigation to confirm the allegations.
It was alleged that a Haqqani Network commander Qudrat Ullah was among the dead, however this allegation was also never confirmed and his present status is unknown.
