What Happened?
18 January 2011: A U.S. drone strike destroyed a house in the Assar Madda Khel or Dashgah area of Datta Khel Tehsil. The attack reportedly occurred at around 2105 hours. Media reports only allege that ‘suspected militants’ were killed in this attack.
Data published years later by FATA officials alleges that all casualties were militants of the Badar Al-Mansoor group. No other independent inquiry has been made on the nature of these casualties.
