What Happened?

17 January 2018: A US drone missile targeted a home in the Badshah Kot area of the Kurram Agency, killing at least one person. Locals reported seeing US drones circling the area in the days leading up to this attack.

There is no independent verification of the identities of those killed. Neither official records nor local testimony confirm who the casualties were, or whether they had any militant affiliations.

Another US drone targeted a Afghan home on the same day in the Khani Kila area of Afghanistan’s Khost province, across the Pakistan-Afghanistan border from this attack.
