What Happened?
17 January 2010: A U.S. drone strike targeted a house in the Shaktoi area of North Waziristan, the fourth time in a single week. The house was reported to belong to either a Pir Gul or Usama Jan, both allegedly militant commanders.
A local military intelligence official claimed that this attack had killed mostly foreign fighters, with associated press reporting a combination of Pakistan Taliban and Uzbek militants. However, data released by FATA officials years later claims that 14 local people were killed in this attack.
