What Happened?

06 January 2010: A U.S. drone strike targeted a house, described to be large and ‘fort-like’, in the Sanzali or Manza Ghandakai area of Datta Khel in North Waziristan Agency. The CIA alleged that it had targeted suspected militants belonging to the Hafiz Gul Bahadur group of the Taliban.

The attack is reported to have killed at least 6 people, although local officials could not confirm if they were militants. A double-tap attack then targeted rescue services that arrived some time later at the location, killing 8 or 9 more civilian rescuers.
