What Happened?

13 October 2010: A U.S. drone strike destroyed a house and a car in the Nawan Killi area of Kazha Madda Khel in North Waziristan. A triple-strike was reported by the locals. The first wave of drone missiles destroyed the house and the car, the casualties of which are reported as ‘suspected militants’.

The second wave deliberately targeted the people digging through the rubble for rescue. An anonymous local security official is said to have claimed that the double-tap killed militants. In contrast, a local journalist Noor Behram reported that six civilian rescue workers were killed.
