What Happened?
27 December 2010: A U.S. drone strike destroyed a car in the Machi Khel area of Mirali. It is not yet known at what time this attack happened. A local newspaper, Dawn, quoted an anonymous security official as saying that the victims were Pakistanis, rather than Arab fighters. This greatly increases the likelihood that civilians were targeted.
This is one of the most mysterious and least documented U.S. drone strikes in North Waziristan, as it is covered only by a single local media outlet and not even acknowledged by FATA officials.
