What Happened?
08 July 2009: At least six U.S. drone missiles targeted an alleged ‘militant hideout’ in the Karwan Manza area of Ladha in South Waziristan Agency. The attack allegedly happened around 0200 hours.
The BBC alleged that militants had been killed in this attack, whereas other Western news source alleged that the attack targeted the funeral of a man named Laiq Marjan.
However, there is no independent on-the-ground confirmation of the casualties, making this an undocumented, high casualty event.
