What Happened?
21 December 2012: A U.S. drone strike destroyed a house in the Hassu Khel area of Mirali. Media reports alleged that ‘foreigners’ of either Uzbek or unknown origin were killed.
However, no follow-up investigation or independent inquiry was ever made on this drone attack. The victims remain undocumented, including clarity on if whether they were civilians or militants.
This is one of the least documented U.S. drone attacks in the region. It is also not logged in the 2006-2013 official FATA record of U.S. drone attacks, despite being a confirmed attack.
