What Happened?
21 May 2010: A U.S. drone strike targeted a house in the Boya Kalay or Saeed Abad area of North Waziristan. The house reportedly belonged to a local man Shams Ullah or Khalil Jan. An Al-Qaeda statement released later confirmed that an operator named Saeed Al Misri had been killed in this attack.
However, this attack had severe collateral casualties. At least seven children and multiple women were killed, all of whom belonged to local civilian families and had no connections to any militant networks. Two children, Fatima and Nisar, were among those killed.
