What Happened?
03 May 2010: A U.S. drone strike targeted either a militant car, a Pakistani state car, or a house in the Machi Khel area of North Waziristan, according to official sources. The CIA alleged that it had targeted a car of militants in this attack, however a local news agency found that one of the missiles struck a nearby house.
Data published by FATA officials indicate that a “state car” was targeted, raising the likelihood of Pakistani officials being killed. No independent inquiry was ever made on the house that was destroyed by the stray missile for civilians casualties. No accurate death toll is available for this attack.
